Most important A well-tailored resume is everything

Before anything else: this is the single most important thing you can do. Minerva sharpens and realigns the language you already have — it does not invent competencies or fill gaps. A rushed or generic resume yields rushed, generic results, no matter how good the AI is. The stronger and better-tailored your starting resume, the stronger every customized version Minerva produces. Get your base resume right first — everything downstream depends on it.

Why it exists

The story behind Minerva

As a software engineer myself, I grew frustrated with all the apps out there claiming to help you via AI and all the latest fancy technological marvels. I tried many… and was disappointed. As well as out of several hundred dollars.

This is why I created this. A simple, no-fluff, get-things-done approach that delivers on the promise of helping you land interviews by getting you through the recruiters' ATS.

How it works

From posting to interview-ready

  1. 1

    Search

Scans multiple job sites on your behalf.

  2. 2

    Aggregate

Pulls every result together into one place.

  3. 3

    De-duplicate

Strips out the repeats that clutter every job board.

  4. 4

    Evaluate

Scores each posting against your resume.

  5. 5

    Notify at your threshold

You set a compatibility-percentage threshold. Only matches above it email you — so you focus on those ones only.

  6. 6

    Tailor on request

Interested? Straight from that same email, ask for a customized resume matching the language of the job description — and both a cover letter and a customized resume are sent to you.

Honest by design

Great care was taken to not invent competencies to match the job description. Minerva limits itself to matching the energy and requirements described in the posting — if, and only if, the competency is already listed on your resume. Minerva does not invent qualities; it helps you present the ones you have in phrasing that better matches the job.

For the technically inclined, this means RAG — grounded strictly in your resume.
Your resume, your formatting

Minerva will not produce a better-looking version of your resume. It reworks the language, the phrasing and the cadence of the text — but whatever formatting your resume came with is what Minerva will use.

Good data in = good data out.

Good luck with your search.

What to expect

How your searches run

Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Satoff Sunoff

As long as you have a balance, Minerva runs a search for you every weekday. Weekends are off — from experience, new job postings rarely go up on Saturdays and Sundays. Your matches arrive by email, for you to peruse at your convenience, whenever you're ready.

The same posting will never reach you twice — even when it's listed across several job sites, Minerva shows it to you once.

A search doesn't guarantee an email

Please keep this in mind: a triggered search does not always mean an email. If you've already seen every job matching your parameters — or your compatibility threshold is set very high and you're simply not a strong fit for what's out there — you may receive nothing that day. That's not a fault; it's the filter doing its job.

It's your call from there: hold out for that perfect posting, or relax your scraping and matching parameters to widen the net.

What it costs

Simple, frugal, pay-as-you-go

Minerva's frugal approach is by design. I wanted it as cheap as possible — only splurging on the parts that really make a difference to the final result. The UI is minimal, but functional. The emails are straightforward and simple. The AI, though, is state of the art.

How your balance works

  • Minerva runs on a simple token balance. When you register, you'll get an email to add $10 to your Minerva Job Search balance via Stripe.
  • Whenever your balance drops below $5, it auto-refills — so your search never stalls unexpectedly.
  • You can cancel auto-refill at any time. If the balance runs out, usage simply pauses — no surprises, no lock-in.

You only pay for what you actually use. Here's roughly where the money goes:

Pennies

Searching

Hundreds of matches scanned across job sites.

~$1/day

Scoring

Around 100 resume-vs-job comparisons a day. You're only emailed on matches at or above your threshold.

<50¢

Per resume + cover letter

Always generated together as a matched pair — the one place Minerva splurges, on state-of-the-art AI.

$10 covers up to ~10 days of automated searching — more or less, depending on how many tailored resumes and cover letters you generate.
